place DAYS 1 - 2 - Auckland

Auckland

On arrival in Auckland you will be transferred to your hotel for a two night stay. Spend the following day exploring on a city tour. Highlights include Mission Bay waterfront suburb, Harbour Bridge and Achilles Point where you will capture some amazing photos with Rangitoto Island as your background.

place DAYS 3 - 4 - Rotorua

Rotorua

Today drive to Rotorua, a geothermal wonderland with bubbling mud pools, clouds of steam and natural hot springs. Check-in to your luxury, boutique hotel for a two night stay. The next day, journey to an authentic Māori village nestled in a Rotorua forest. Amidst crackling village fires, discover Māori art forms, take part in ancient rituals and learn fascinating Māori traditions.

Napier

Take a three hour drive to Napier, located in Hawkes Bay, and home to beautifully-restored Art Deco buildings, many fine wineries, fabulous restaurants, bars and cafes make. On-route stop at Lake Taupo, New Zealand's largest lake and soak up the magnificent landscapes.

Wellington

Stop en route at Tongariro National Park, created from volcanic eruptions. Spend the morning exploring, there are plenty of things to do including dozens of breathtaking walks and hikes to appreciate this diverse landscape. Drive to New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington. Spend the next two nights at the QT Wellington, boasting character from the moment you step through the door.

Kaikorua

Say goodbye to New Zealand’s beautiful North Island as you take the interisland ferry over to Picton. Drive to Kaikorua, a charming coastal village known for its abundance of marine wildlife.

place DAY 9 - Christchurch

Christchurch

Drive through the beautiful Waipara wine valley to Christchurch. Experience this vibrant city centre aboard Christchurch's famous historic tram. Hop off to visit the gothic-style Arts Centre, the Canterbury Museum, the Christchurch Botanic Gardens and New Regent Street, said to be the most beautiful street in New Zealand.

place DAYS 10 - 11 - Franz Josef 

Franz Josef 

Leave the car in Christchurch and instead take the iconic Tranzalpine train to Greymouth. You’ll see epic vistas, travel the edges of the ice-fed Waimakariri River, cross the Southern Alps, and see miles of native forest. On arrival in Greymouth you will collect your hire car and drive to Franz Josef. Spend the following day exploring the Glacier Country, take a drive to Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier, the most accessible rivers of ice in the world, plunging down through rainforest almost to sea level.

Queenstown

Rise early today as it’s a five hour drive to Queenstown. Stop en route at Wanaka and take in the spectacular views of Mount Aspiring and Glaciers. Travel past Lord of The Rings locations and stunning mountain scenery on this unique journey. On arrival in Queenstown check-in to your hotel for a two night stay.

place DAY 14 - Doubtful Sound

Doubtful Sound

Escape into the wilderness to discover Doubtful Sound, deep in the heart of Fiordland National Park. Experience the transition from the township into the forested mountains surrounding beautiful Lake Manapouri. Journey past the Manapouri Hydro Project deeper into Fiordland. At Wilmot Pass see Doubtful Sound / Patea stretching into the distance then journey into the isolation and serenity of Doubtful Sound.

Dunedin

Wake up to spectacular waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife, this is a truly magnificent experience. Collect your car back at Te Anau, it’s a four hour drive to Dunedin, home to New Zealand’s only castle.

Christchurch 

Drive to Christchurch for one final night in New Zealand. The following day drop your car at the airport.
