Viceroy Riviera Maya brings a chic, modern simplicity to its décor, referencing Mayan heritage through palm-thatched roofs, canopy beds and natural fabrics and furnishings. Villas are discreetly placed to enjoy beachfront locations and ocean or jungle views. Each of the 41 private villas has its own patio, plunge pool and outdoor shower. Drift off gently to the sounds of the forest and sea in your handmade hammock.

Premium villas are just steps from the beach and offer even more living space, as well as walk-in closets, a spacious dressing area and butler service.

Enjoy relaxed dining by the beach with a fresh menu of locally caught seafood or wood-fired pizzas at Coral Grill and Bar. The colours and flavours of classic and contemporary Mexican cuisine combine at La Marea, where each Sunday evening Sea & Steak also offers prime cuts, lobster, salmon and seafood.

Lounge on the wooden deck of the resort pool, comfortably close to the Coral Bar for tropical cocktails and fresh snacks. Book a day of scuba diving, snorkelling, fishing or sailing in the clear waters around the resort, or horseback ride along the long stretches of white-sand beach. Borrow a good book or film or try a tutored tequila or ceviche tasting in the Library Lounge.

Tropical jungle and waterfalls create a lush, natural oasis for Wayak Spa at Viceroy Riviera Maya. Choose from authentic herbal and traditional body and beauty treatments to relax, revive or refresh you during your stay.

Additionally, the spa offers a variety of yoga classes – Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Chakra – either at the pier or in the comfort of your villa. The spa also has a fully equipped beachfront fitness studio and a Mayan temazcal sweat lodge.
