Explore the Ruins of Tulum

The Ruins of Tulum are located 100 miles to the south of Playa Del Carmen. Translating as ‘Place of the dawning sun’, Tulum faces onto the Caribbean Ocean with walls on three sides and was considered to be an important religious and ceremonial centre for the Mayan people. The ruins are open Monday through Sunday from 8am to 5pm.
