Climate

High Season starts from July to August, a popular time with travellers from the northern hemisphere. Winter Season begins in December and ends in late February when the climate is at its best. The Dominican Republic enjoys almost steady year-round temperatures with highs of 29 to 33°C. The island lies in the centre of the Caribbean hurricane belt, therefore August and September are classified as prime hurricane season.
