The first stop on your cruise adventure is Port Elizabeth. This city is referred to as “The Friendly City” and is home to stunning beaches and the densest population of elephants in the world. Featuring a pedestrianised central zone, galleries selling local artworks, mouth-watering South African fusion food restaurants, award-winning buildings that house museums, and restored Victorian terraces, there is plenty for guests to explore. The marine life in the bay is also sensational, with plenty of dolphins and whales that can be spotted throughout the year.
Next dock at East London, a city situated between the Buffalo and Nahoon rivers on the south-eastern coast of South Africa. Known as “The Buffalo City” this city bridges the Wild and Sunshine Coasts’ world-famous beaches and acts as a gateway to the vast inland wild savannah. There is a very laidback vibe, thanks to the large numbers of surfers and beach lovers drawn by the excellent combination of sand and surf on offer.

Guests can appreciate the beautiful wetland scenery in addition to the untouched beaches and game reserves. Be sure to visit Dumazulu, the only Zulu village opened up to tourism by King Goodwill Zwelithini and the only authentic example of Zulu traditions which tourists are allowed into.
The next stop is Durban. This city is regarded as “the Asian Capital of South Africa” and is the biggest city in KwaZulu-Natal. Here guests will experience the vibrant waterfront, complete with street performers and sand artists and an easy going laid back lifestyle. The city has always been a beach city but the huge investment for the 2010 World Cup really put it on the map. The massive revamp of the promenade brought about mouth-watering cafes and restaurants serving a variety of dishes including bobotie (a sweet spiced mince dish with egg toping).
