Your Itinerary

Days 1 - 2

This journey will being in Papeete with a two night pre cruise at InterContinental Tahiti Resort & Spa. This stunning resort sits in 25 hectares of lush tropical gardens by a pristine, azure blue lagoon. The idyllic setting is just the start of an incredible Tahitian experience with a range of bars, restaurants and rooms that celebrate this untouched paradise and provide guests with a truly extraordinary holiday.

Day 3

Today you will board your 11 luxury cruise on PONANT’s Le Paul Gauguin. While at sea, take some time to relax before your first stop. Lounge by the pool, visit the spa, treat your tastebuds at one of the many onboard restaurants or enjoy some entertainment.

Day 4

The first stop on your cruise is Huahine, Society Islands. This island is situated less than 66 miles north-west of Tahiti and is actually made up of two different islands joined by a bridge. Huahine is surrounded by a turquoise lagoon which is perfect for a variety of water sports including diving and snorkeling. It is also home to beautiful beaches, such as the one at Fare, offering the perfect place for guests to relax. This island is also known for its rich culture so why not take a tour with a local guide to learn all about the secrets and legends of the archaeological remains.

Day 5

Next your cruise will dock in Raiatea, the second largest of the Society Islands. This island is considered to be the birthplace of the gods and houses numerous archeological treasures (including marae and petroglyphs) which tell the story of their history and culture. This island is also home to a myriad of natural treasures including a magnificent lagoon, rocky mountain cliffs and lush, unique vegetation.

Day 6

This morning you will dock in Motu Mahana, Taha'a Island, Society Islands. This little private paradise is the cruise line’s very own private island! Motu Mahana offers an infinite palette of shades of turquoise, an idyllic backdrop for observing the majestic ballet of the tropical fish. Here you will enjoy a very special experience centered around an authentic traditional Polynesian barbecue. You will then set sail again and dock in Bora Bora in the evening.

Days 7 – 8

The next two days will be spend in Bora Bora, Society Islands. This island has numerous white sandy beaches and a famous lagoon regarded as one of the most beautiful in the world. The island is truly stunning with tropical vegetation and is dominated by the majestic outline of Mount Otemanu. A promenade through this volcanic landscape will allow you to discover a number of villages and meet local communities.

The next day is a day at sea onboard PONANT’s Le Paul Gauguin. While at sea, take some time to relax before your first stop. Lounge by the pool, visit the spa, treat your tastebuds at one of the many onboard restaurants or enjoy some entertainment.

The next stop is Fakarava, Tuamotu Islands. Listed as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, this island’s coral ellipsis is a narrow stretch of land sitting on a crystal-clear sea. Visitors are often amazed by the immensity of the lagoon, whose colours evoke an infinite palette. Known for its immaculate beaches and preserved nature, home to rare bird species, plants and crustaceans, Fakarava is well worth the visit!

Day 11

Today you will dock in Rangiroa, Tuamotu Islands – the biggest atoll in Polynesia. Home to the second biggest lagoon in the world, Rangiroa is internationally renowned as a diving destination. We would also highly recommend a glass-bottom boat tour where you will be able to admire all the underwater life of the stunning lagoon. Also be sure to visit the two villages full of local charm.

Days 12 – 13

Next you will enjoy a docked overnight stay in Moorea Island. Spend these days relaxing on the pristine beaches, enjoying a dip in the shimmering waters of its lagoon and exploring its flourishing vegetation in the inland areas. Be sure to head to Moorea Belvedere Lookout for an incredible view of the island and its surroundings. On day 13 you will then leave Moorea in the late afternoon and then head to Papeete where you will dock in the early evening.

Your journey will end back in Papeete, Tahiti Island, where you will enjoy a docked overnight stay before transferring to the airport for your flight home.
