Day 1 - 3
Arrive in Honolulu and transfer to your oceanfront hotel for the next three nights. Named after legendary surfer Duke Kahanamoku, Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort offers top-notch facilities and the chance to learn how to ride the waves, Hawaii style!
Day 4
Make your way to the port to meet your Explora Journeys ship ready for your departure tonight.
Day 5
Located on the west side of the Big Island of Hawaii, Kailua-Kona is the gateway to the island’s pristine beaches, volcanic landscapes and lush rainforest. Take a moment to connect with the spirit of Hawaii at Kaloko-Honokohau Historical Park.
Day 6
A landscape so unspoiled that it was used as the backdrop to pre-historic thriller Jurassic Park, 97% of the land on Kauai is undeveloped mountain ranges and rainforests, leading to its reputation as ‘The Garden Isle’. Waimea Canyon, ‘the Grand Canyon of the Pacific’, impresses anyone lucky enough to visit with its breathtaking natural beauty and outdoor activities.
Day 7 - 11
As you traverse the Pacific Ocean you can get to know every part of your exquisite ‘home at sea’. Wake up to endless ocean vistas from your sumptuous accommodation, complete with a private outdoor terrace to breathe in the sea air. Focus on your physical health in the ship’s onboard Fitness Centre before shifting your attention to spiritual wellness in the spa, where serene treatment rooms play host to expertly performed therapies and world-class facilities include a steam room, sauna and salt cave. Then it’s time to enjoy the selection of immersive dining experiences onboard - showcasing global flavours in sophisticated surroundings, with renowned guest chefs flaunting their talents in innovative and inspiring menus.
Day 12
Arrive in the charming capital of British Columbia, perched on the southern edge of Vancouver Island. Wander through the city, where a mix of modern and colonial architecture sits against a backdrop of the magnificent Olympic Mountains or spend a few hours kayaking along the city’s coastline. Keep your eyes peeled for harbour seals, river otters and a variety of birdlife as you paddle.
Day 13
After disembarking your ship in Vancouver, you’ll be transferred to your stylish hotel, Fairmont Pacific Rim, near the Coal Harbour Waterfront. You can spend the rest of the day exploring the city.
Day 14
Transfer to the station and board the legendary Rocky Mountaineer train for your two-day journey to Banff. Enjoy sweeping views through panoramic windows and delicious cuisine as part of the SilverLeaf service as you wind through dramatic mountain passes on this historic route that connects Canada from east to west.
Day 15
Continuing your journey by train today, you’ll pass shimmering lakes and towering mountains. Arrive in Banff in the evening and transfer to the 5 Star Fairmont Banff Springs located in Banff National Park.
Day 16
There’s time to take in the breathtaking views from your hotel before you leave Banff and travel to Calgary International Airport (shared bus) for your flight back home.
