Cruise Itinerary

Day 4 – 5

The next two days are days at sea onboard the Celebrity Edge, the perfect opportunity to recharge before you next adventure. Spend your days lounging by the pool, indulging in a treatment at the spa, enjoying world-class cuisine at the ship’s restaurants or exploring the many venues onboard.

Cruise Itinerary

Day 6

The first stop on this incredible cruising adventure is Picton, New Zealand. Picton is a beautiful harbour town, lying on the cusp of the mighty scenery of the Marlborough Sounds Maritime Park, and providing an attractive link between New Zealand’s two main islands. With award-winning restaurants, delightful local art galleries, a range of water sports’ activities and beautiful nature trails, guests will have no shortage of things to do.

Cruise Itinerary

Day 7

Next the ship will dock at Napier, New Zealand. This beachside city is famous for two things; its beautifully preserved 1930s architecture and its wineries. Wander along the city’s lovely streets and admire the architecture characterized by bold symmetrical shapes, linearity balanced by gentle curves, and sometimes intricate ornamentation. Be sure to journey outside the city to explore some of New Zealand’s most spectacular wine vintages in Hawke’s Bay where you can tour the wineries and enjoy exclusive wine tastings.

Cruise Itinerary

Day 8

The next stop is Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city which is nestled between green hills and a sparkling harbour. Stroll along the scenic waterfront, Oriental Bay, where you will find numerous cafés, bars and ice cream vendors. History lovers should head to Te Papa, the national museum of New Zealand where they can learn about the city’s geological, biological and cultural history. Also not to missed is an iconic cable car ride up to Wellington Botanic Garden which covers 25 hectares and is home to some of the oldest exotic trees in New Zealand.

Cruise Itinerary

Day 9

Today will be spent cruising the incredible fjord Dusky Sound. This fjord is the largest and most complex of the many fjords along the New Zealand coast and features steep cliffs which have been carved over centuries by dozens of waterfalls. Keep your eyes peeled for the large range of wildlife including seals and dolphins patrolling the water and birds like the broad billed prions floating on the overhead thermals.

Cruise Itinerary

Day 10

Next, your cruise will travel through Doubtful Sound. As cold mountain water flows from the cliffs above this fjord, it creates an unique phenomenon-a dual-layered marine ecosystem of fresh and saltwater. This serves as a playground for a variety of wildlife including fur seals and two types of penguins – the fiordland crested and blue penguin.

Cruise Itinerary

Day 11

The next day will spent cruising yet another incredible fjord, Milford Sound. As you sail into the narrow fjords of the Milford Sound, even your gigantic ship seems to shrink in comparison to the soaring cliffs topped by lush mountain terrain. Located within the Fiorland National Park this natural wonder is part of the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Site and is protected by its natural geography, which makes it a refuge for all types of wildlife.
