Your Itinerary

Day 1 – 2

Guests will begin their journey in Barcelona with a 2 night pre-cruise stay at the Grand Hotel Central in a Double Classic Room on a breakfast basis. This 5 star boutique hotel is located in the heart of the Gothic quarter, offering guests the perfect base to explore the city. This fascinating city is a prime example of where the old meets the new with narrow alleyways contrasting with grand boulevards, and modern cuisine meets homemade tapas. Be sure to visit the magnificent basilica Sagrada Familia, wander the city’s most famous street La Rambla, marvel at the incredible views from Gaudí’s Park Güell, or relax at Barcelona’s beautiful beaches.

Today guests will transfer to the port to begin their All Inclusive 7 night cruise onboard Windstar’s Wind Spirit.

Day 4

The first stop on this incredible cruising adventure is Palma de Mallorca, the capital and largest city of the Balearic Islands in Spain. This beautiful city features honey-coloured stone buildings and an abundance of galleries, restaurants, bars and craft studios. Stroll through the cobbled streets of the charming old town, visit Bellver Castle which sits on a hill overlooking the city, watch street performers on the piazza around the church, or cross the island to the beautiful Sóller. An attraction not to be missed is the cultural landscape of the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 5

Today your cruise will dock at Mahón, the capital city of the Spanish island Menorca. This picturesque city is set around the second biggest natural harbour in the world and is home to pristine white-sand beaches and stunning architecture. Take a boat tour around the harbour, learn about the Talayotic culture on Menorca at the Museum of Menorca, or sample some delicious gin at the Xoriguer Gin Distillery.

Day 6

The next day is a day at sea onboard Windstar’s Wind Spirit. While at sea, take some time to recharge before your next port of call. Lounge by the pool, visit the spa, treat your tastebuds at one of the restaurants or enjoy some entertainment.

Day 7

Dock at Calvi, located on the northwest coast of the island of Corsica. This seaside town boasts a beautiful crescent-shaped bay and stunning beaches as well as a large medieval citadel which overlooks the marina. Wander through the old centre of Calvi where you find many stores, cafes and restaurants. A must visit is the church of Santa Maria Maggiore which features a beautiful pink baroque style architecture which has resulted in the church being known as the ‘Big Pink Church’.

Day 8

The next stop is Bastia, the principal port of Corsica. This town is full of vibrant historical neighbourhoods with narrow alleys and streets between magnificent ancient buildings of the 18th century. Be sure to visit the Place du Marche, one of the main squares in the town and home to a morning market as well as the spectacular 16th century Saint-Jean-Baptiste church. Afterwards head to the other side of the harbour where you will find the beautiful citadel, the lush gardens of Jardin Romieu and the Terra Nova district.

Day 9

Today your cruise will dock at Portoferraio, the capital of the Island of Elba. Miles of pristine sand beach and pine-scented forest await you on this enchanting tranquil island. Relax with a glass of local Moscato with the fresh catch of the day and afterward visit the nearby countryside with its small fishing villages and impressive mountain passes. Alternatively, visit the beautiful Tuscan Archipelago National Park, which is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Day 10 – 12

Your cruise will end in Rome where you will then transfer to Baglioni Hotel Regina for a 2 night post-cruise stay in a Superior Room on a breakfast basis. This elegant luxurious hotel is located close to the heart of the city, providing the perfect base to explore all the tourist attractions. Be sure to visit the Vatican, with its Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, and the ancient ruins of the Colosseum. A trip to Rome is not complete without an obligatory coin toss into the famous Trevi Fountain.
