Day 1 – 3
Before setting off on your luxury cruise adventure guests will enjoy a 2 night pre cruise stay at the lavish Fairmont the Palm in Dubai in a Fairmont Room on a half board basis. Dubai is well known for its magnificent architecture and skyscrapers, city-sized malls, and a vibrant nightlife. Be sure to experience all this city has to offer before your cruise departs on day 3.
Day 4
The first stop on your luxury cruise adventure is Sir Bani Yas Island, one of the eight deserts of Al Dhafra in the United Arab Emirates. This island is famous for its ancient archaeological sites, geological features and incredible man-made attractions. Be sure to take advantage of the Island Nature Reserve Game Viewer Drive excursion on offer. This excursion will take guests on an adventure through the Arabian Wildlife Park which occupies more than half of this spectacular island. With 17,000 free-roaming animals including gazelles, the Arabian oryx, hyenas, giraffes, and cheetahs, animal sightings are guaranteed. Also on offer for guests is a kayaking experience where you will paddle along enchanting quiet waterways and mangroves full of marine life.
Day 5 - 6
The next stop is Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates which sits off the mainland on an island in the Persian Gulf, connecting to the mainland by a short bridge. This city is home to magnificent architecture, futuristic skyscrapers, and stunning mosques. Experience the highlights of this spectacular city with the Abu Dhabi City Tour where you will visit the exquisite Sheikh Zayed Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and a masterpiece of neo-Islamic architecture. An experience not to be missed is a Dune Drive Safari, a thrilling rollercoaster ride over Arabia’s golden sand dunes from the comfort of a modern 4-wheel drive vehicle.
Day 7
The next day is a day at sea onboard Windstar’s luxurious Star Legend ship, the perfect opportunity to relax after your days exploring. Spend your day sun bathing on the deck, taking a dip in the pool, working out at the state-of-the-art fitness centre, or treat yourself to an indulging massage in the World Spa. Enjoy a delicious dinner and then afterwards dance to live music in the Lounge.
Day 8
The next destination is Manama, the capital and largest city of Bahrain. This city boasts a beautiful skyline filled with unique, modern glass and steel spires. A must visit when in Manama is the famous Bab el-Bahrain Souk. This old world market is made up of a labyrinth lined by spice vendors, carpet merchants and fine jewelers. Another highlight when in Manama is a pearl snorkeling experience. Take a spectacular boat ride out to South Beach where you will then take to the water to dive for oysters to find pearls.
Day 9 - 10
Dock at Doha, the capital city of Qatar. This magnificent city is home to spectacular skyscrapers, extravagant shopping malls, mosques with intricate carvings and a 4-mile Corniche. Explore the narrow alleyways of the oldest souk in Qatar or discover masterpieces at the Museum of Islamic Art which features art from three continents dating back over 1,400 years.
Day 11
The next stop is Ras Al Khaimah (RAK City), the largest city and the capital of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. This city is well known for its rich culture, slower pace, and beautiful beaches. Be sure to visit the Al Jazirah Al Hamra, an intact traditional pearling village which was abandoned in the mid-20th century. Also not to be missed is a mountain safari tour where you will travel through mountain, canyons, wadis, and the historical villages of Madha, and Nahwa.
Day 12
Next on this cruising adventure is Khasab, a city situated on Oman’s northern coast. This city has a stunning location wedged between magnificent steep cliffs and the sea. Explore the spectacular coast by boat where you may even spot bottlenose or humpback dolphins. A must visit when in Khasab is the magnificent Khasab Castle, a castle built in the 17th century where you can learn about the local life back through the ages.
Day 13 - 15
The cruise will end in Muscat, the capital city of Oman, where Guests will enjoy a 2 night post cruise stay at the luxurious Shangri-La Al Bandar in a Deluxe Room on a bed and breakfast basis. This city is home to upscale shopping malls, modern high rises and 16th century Al Jalali and Mirani Portuguese forts. Visit the magnificent mosques in the city including the marble-clad Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque or relax on one of the soft sand beaches which leads out to the pristine Gulf of Oman.
