The bustling port of Shimotsu is the gateway to Wakayama and its nearby attractions. White sand beaches stretch along the coast and geothermal bathing experiences are ideal for soothing weary limbs. Wakayama Castle, perched on a nearby hilltop, reveals sweeping views of the city and bay from its tower.

Visitors to Kochi can look forward to an authentic experience on Japan’s southern coast. Choose to explore the historic castle the city takes its name from or venture into the Iya Valley for breathtaking views.
