Days 1-5
Opt to spend the first five days of this adventure soaking in the chic, beachfront luxury that is Sani Dunes. Day 6
Departing from Athens, a city of temples and ancient sites, watch as the city lights fade aboard Oceania Allura.
Day 7
Authentically Greek Milos is filled with luminous waters, secret beaches and delicious menus. The 40 diverse beaches are stunning with their unique colours and different rock formations while the ancient theatres, catacombs and 13-centry castle remains on shore mean excursions for all types of travellers.
Day 8
Katakolon is where the Olympic Games began in 776 B.C. Today, visitors can stroll around the deserted sanctuary, temples and altars while excitingly walking the ground in which ancient athletes once practiced.
Day 9
Beautifully restored after an earthquake in the 17th century, Catania now offers ancient churches, castles and amphitheatres to explore. Those who travel inland have the joy of visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Villa Romana del Casale, a 4th century villa.
Day 10
Malta’s capital, Valletta is filled with amazing prehistoric temples, while nearby Rabat is a colorful fishing village that is worth exploration. Back in the city, the stunning surrounding scenery is perfect for wandering with its imposing churches and fortified town streets.
Day 11
The ancient city of Palermo is filled with glorious history, from its magnificent monuments like the Norman cathedral and majestic 9th century Arba palace that comes complete with its own breathtaking Palatine chapel.
Day 12
The Amalfi Coast is an official UNESCO World Heritage Site with its picturesque towns and villages built into the cliffs. Port Salerno is the base here and is picture perfect for its own exploration while also providing the perfect base for exploring further afield to destinations such as Positano, Sorrento and Ravello.
Day 13
Your final port of call is Rome and where this amazing adventure comes to an end. A fitting end to a journey filled with history, culture and beauty, the city is a final chance for exploration before your journey home.
