Day 1 – 3
Guests will arrive in Athens, Greece where they will enjoy a 2 night stay at Hotel Grande Bretagne. This ancient city is famous for its rich culture, ancient ruins, and beautiful beaches. Spend your days exploring this fascinating city with an abundance of attractions to see including the Acropolis Museum, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the Acropolis of Athens, a citadel situated on a rocky outcrop containing ruins of several ancient building, namely the Parthenon. On day 3 guests will transfer to the port where they will board their 7 night cruise with Princess Cruises.
Day 4
Today is a day at sea onboard the Sun Princess. While at sea, take some time to recharge before your next port of call. Lounge by the pool, visit the spa, treat your tastebuds at one of the many onboard restaurants or enjoy some entertainment.
Day 5
The first stop on this cruising adventure is Kotor, a coastal town in Montenegro situated in a secluded part of the Gulf of Kotor. This town features a spectacular location, situated between towering mountains and the pristine bay. Full of culture, history, museums, churches, café-strewn squares, and Venetian palaces and pillories, guests will be spoiled for things to do. Be sure to visit the old city wall built by the House of Nemanjicc, a UNESCO World Heritage site and also the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon.
Day 6
Next your cruise will dock at Corfu, Greece. This Greek Island located in the Ionian Sea is well known for its spectacular landscape, pristine sandy beaches and its historic old town, which is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend your day visiting Spianada Square, climbing the Old Venetian Fortress, or simply relaxing at one of the beautiful beaches.
Day 7
The next destination is Messina, the third largest city on the island of Sicily, Italy. This beautiful harbour side city has played a major role in European history since its founding as a Greek colony in the 8th century B.C. Messina was a major port and commercial centre during the Roman Empire and was the major port of departure for Crusaders during the Middle Ages. A must visit when in Messina is the 12th-century Norman cathedral which was rebuilt after a 1908 earthquake destroyed it and much of the town.
Day 8
Next the cruise will dock at Naples, Italy’s third largest city. This city is famous for its historic centre, beautiful piazzas, and is rich in centuries-old culture and customs. Naples also boasts a perfect location as it is the gateway to the Isle of Capri, the fabled Amalfi Coast and the ruins of Pompeii, buried in ash by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 A.D.
Day 9
Today is a day at sea onboard the Sun Princess. While at sea, take some time to recharge before your next port of call. Lounge by the pool, visit the spa, treat your tastebuds at one of the many onboard restaurants or enjoy some entertainment.
Day 10 - 12
On day 10 your cruse will end in Barcelona where guests will then transfer to the Hotel Arts Barcelona for a 2 night post cruise stay. This luxury hotel is perfectly located overlooking the beachfront, offering both panoramic city and beach views. Explore all this fascinating city has to offer. Visit the magnificent basilica Sagrada Família, wander the city’s most famous street La Rambla, marvel at the incredible views from Gaudí’s Park Güell, or relax at Barcelona’s beautiful beaches. On day 12 guests will transfer to the airport for their flight home.
