Day 1 – 3
This journey will begin with a two night stay at Viceroy Santa Monica. A longstanding feature of the Los Angeles beach scene, Viceroy Santa Monica is just steps from the Santa Monica sands. On day 3 you will board your cruise in Los Angeles and set off on your 16 night cruise on the incredible Emerald Princess.
Day 4 – 8
The next five days are days at sea on board the Emerald Princess. There are plenty of things to do on board to ensure days at sea are just as exciting as days at land. Relax by the pool, watch a movie under the stars, head to the vegas-style casino, catch a show at the theatre, enjoy an indulging massage at the spa…this is just a glimpse of what is available on board!
Day 9
The first destination you will stop at on this cruise is Kauai, the fourth largest island in the Hawaiian group. This island has a varied landscape ranging from the volcanic slopes of Mt. Waialeale and the desert-like beauty of Waimea Canyon to the Wailua River’s lush Fern Grotto.
Day 10
The next stop is Kahului, Maui’s major port town. Maui is the second largest island in Hawaii and boasts a truly stunning landscape with idyllic beaches. An impressive feature of the island is the towering Mt. Haleakala, a dormant volcano which rises 10,000 feet above the Pacific Ocean. There is plenty to do during your time here. Head to Haleakala National Park, visit Maui Ocean Center, walk through Iao Valley State Park, or go whale watching.
Day 11
Today you will dock in the largest island of Hawaii – Hilo. This island is a beautiful paradise of black-sand beaches, tropical rainforests and volcanic mountains. You cannot miss a visit to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park which is home to Mauna Loa, the largest active volcanic is world. Other attractions which will not disappoint are Rainbow Falls, Tropical Botanical Gardens, and Waipi'o Valley (home to a spectacular black-sand beach).
Day 12
The next destination on this cruise is Honolulu, Hawaii’s state capital and only major city. In this bustling city you will find everything from historic attractions to fine dining and world-class shopping. Of course, beyond the city lie tropical rain forests, the Pali Lookout and the North Shore known for its surfing beaches.
Day 13 – 17
The next five days are days at sea on board the Emerald Princess. There are plenty of things to do on board to ensure days at sea are just as exciting as days at land. Day 18
Next your cruise will dock in Ensenada, Mexico. This coastal city is well known for its beautiful beaches, mouthwatering seafood, and rich culture. Be sure to walk along the Ensenada Waterfront Boardwalk, a vibrant promenade stretching for 2 miles home to numerous shops, restaurants, and art installations.
Day 19
Your cruise will end in Los Angeles, California where you will transfer to the airport for your flight home.
