Day 1 – 4
Buenos Aires’ elegant tree-lined boulevards and stunning architecture are more evocative of European capitals than a South American metropolis, while the kaleidoscope of colours in La Boca and passionate tango rhythms reveal the city’s vibrant Latin soul. Your three-night pre-cruise stay includes a guided city tour, an excursion to the Tigre Delta, and an evening at a historic tango house. On day 4, a private transfer will take you to the port to board your cruise ship for a departure that evening.
Day 5 & 6
Two days at sea give you the chance to settle into your suite and explore everything your Regent Seven Seas ship has to offer. And with an impressive array of luxurious amenities across eight decks, there is plenty to discover.
Day 7
Gateway to the nature reserves of Punta Tombo and the Peninsula Valdes, this charming Patagonian town blends Argentine character with a unique Welsh heritage. Spectacular scenery and unforgettable wildlife encounters await on shore excursions that include visits to penguin colonies, whale-watching tours, and kayaking among sea-lion-dotted shores. Meanwhile, culinary experiences add a delicious dimension.
Day 8
Relax on the pool deck or challenge your fellow passengers to a game of bocce, golf or shuffleboard – however you choose to spend the day, the Atlantic Ocean provides a breathtaking backdrop.
Day 9 & 10
Chile’s southernmost city was once a remote military garrison and penal colony. Today, it serves as the jumping-off point for incredible experiences in the surrounding area, from visiting the country’s largest penguin colony on Magdalena Island to exploring Torres del Paine National Park, with its soaring snow-capped mountains and shimmering glacial lakes.
Day 11
Venture to the “end of the world”, where the Beagle Channel meets the Andean mountains, and you’ll find Ushuaia, a small but lively city with an unmistakable sense of adventure. An interesting museum and a variety of shops ensure there’s no shortage of things to do in the town, but it’s outdoor adventures that will leave a lasting impression. Tierra del Fuego is a particular highlight - a world of wild beauty waiting to be explored.
Day 12 – 15
Your luxury ship provides the perfect base as you venture into the open ocean, crossing the infamous Drake Passage en route to the Falkland Islands. A wealth of leisure facilities and a variety of entertainment will keep you busy on board, but make sure to gaze out to sea as well, spotting icebergs on the horizon, seabirds overhead, and the occasional whale breaking the surface of the deep blue waters that surround you.
Day 17
Quaint and colourful Stanley offers a warm welcome as you emerge from your time at sea. With British influences throughout, from red phone boxes to cosy pubs, it feels more like a rural English village than a capital city. Spend time learning about the Falklands’ complex history or explore their rugged, windswept landscapes, where untouched beaches host abundant wildlife, including penguin colonies, elephant seals and albatrosses.
Day 18 & 19
A fitness centre, jogging track, and padel courts help you stay active by day, while evenings call for cocktails in stylish lounge bars and fun in the casino.
Day 20
Glamorous Punta del Este has it all – sun-drenched beaches, chic eateries, stylish boutiques, and sophisticated nightlife. Enjoy a relaxed day with a leisurely lunch at the marina, feasting on fresh seafood while gazing at luxury yachts, or choose from the curated shore excursions, including a visit to an authentic cattle station, encounters with endangered sea lions and seals, and a tour of the 18th-century city of Maldonado.
Day 21
Uruguay’s small capital may be home to nearly half of the country’s population, but it’s surprisingly relaxed, with a calm, unhurried atmosphere that makes exploring its colonial streets, riverside promenades, and museums a pleasure.
Day 22
Arrive in Buenos Aires this morning, disembark and fly home today.
