Itinerary

place DAYS 1 - 2 - Cape Town

Cape Town

Begin the journey staying in a family suite at the Winchester Hotel located along the Atlantic Seaboard. Family suites are mountain facing with two separate bedrooms with king or twin bedding.

Two Oceans Aquarium located in the V&A Waterfront is a great option for kids and we can arrange a behind the scenes tour to marvel at the underwater world! Families with younger kids may enjoy a trip up Table Mountain in the cable car, while those with teenagers might prefer the more active option of climbing the mountain together or tackling another of the great trails at Signal Hill or Lion’s Head.

place DAY 3 - Cape Town

Cape Town

A must do experience during a family holiday to Cape Town is a visit to Boulders Beach to see the African penguin colony, watch them swimming and frolicking from the viewing platform or we can arrange kayak or SUP excursions to get a closer look at these adorable birds.

place DAYS 4 - 6 - Cape Winelands

Cape Winelands

Travel inland by hire car to the beautiful cape winelands region. The drive is predominantly motorway, and the roads are well maintained and signposted. There are a huge range of activities to be enjoyed including a tree house and kids play area, supervised outdoor experience programmes such as foraging and harvest techniques, mountain biking, walking trails and horseback riding.

place DAYS 7 - 9 - The Overberg

The Overberg

The next stop on this family fun holiday is the Overberg which lies along the Western Cape’s south coast. During the months of June to November Southern Right whales migrate through here and the area is famous for having some of the best land-based whale watching in the world. Spend three nights at Coot Club, where children of all ages are welcome and the sense of space both in the accommodation and grounds is ideal for kids to run around and play

place DAYS 10 - 12 - Plettenberg Bay

Plettenberg Bay

Continue along the iconic Garden Route to the coastal town of Plettenberg. Known for its long stretches of beautiful beaches and the nearby Robberg Nature Reserve, it’s a popular spot and offers a variety of activities for those seeking nature, relaxation and adventure activities. On route, stop off at Knysna, another popular coastal town and spend some time browsing the boutiques and enjoying lunch at the marina.

place DAYS 13 - 14 - Lalibela Game Reserve

Lalibela Game Reserve

Last but certainly not least, this epic adventure concludes in the eastern cape. This malaria free safari destination has a wide range of lodgings and is renowned for its incredible conservation efforts. Marks Camp at Lalibela is a wonderful choice for families and allows children from 2 years to join game drives and will endeavor to pair families with similar age children in the same vehicles. Fun and educational activities such as scavenger hunts, rock painting and track and bird identification are available between drives and babysitting services are available.
