Coromandel

Follow a scenic route toward the Coromandel, where rugged hills meet clear blue bays. The drive takes you through rural farmland and across forested ranges before you reach the soft sands and peaceful pace of Cooks Beach. Spend your afternoon relaxing or strolling along the waterfront as the sun dips behind the hills.

The following day, set out on a guided sea kayaking experience around Cathedral Cove. Glide through sheltered waters, explore sea caves and pause at one of New Zealand’s most photographed beaches. The following day join a whale watching experience and venture out into the deep waters off Kaikoura. Giant sperm whales can be seen throughout the year and you may also spot dolphins, seals and impressive sea birds.
