Cape Town

On arrival in Cape Town, you will be transferred to One&Only Cape Town for a four night stay. Occupying an enviable position on the V&A Waterfront, this sophisticated urban resort provides a luxurious base from which to explore the Mother City.

Cape Town

Spend three days exploring Cape Town at your own pace. Take the cable car to the summit of Table Mountain, explore the colourful streets of Bo-Kaap and visit the boutiques, restaurants and attractions of the waterfront. A recommended full day experience is a tour to Cape Peninsula, travel along the spectacular Chapman's Peak Drive and visit the African Penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Alternatively, travel inland for a day exploring the stunning Cape Winelands. 

Cape Town to Pretoria

Aboard Rovos

The first full day onboard enjoy the changing landscapes as the train crosses the Tropic of Capricorn travelling towards the Zimbabwean border. Relax in the lounge, watch the scenery unfold from the open-air observation balcony and enjoy afternoon tea in the elegant dining car. 

Matobo National Park

Travel through Zimbabwe to Matobo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its extraordinary granite formations, ancient rock art and deep cultural history. Leave the train for a guided excursion into this striking landscape before going back onboard to spend the remainder of the day relaxing as the journey continues through Zimbabwe. 

Hwange National Park

Today the train travels along one of the world's longest straight stretches of railway before reaching Hwange National Park, Zimbabw's largest National Park. Disembark for a game drive through a wilderness knwon for its large elephant population and impressive diversity of wildlife. When you return to the train, your final dinner will be served as the journey continues to Victoria Falls. 

Victoria Falls & Matetsi Private Game Reserve

Arrive at Victoria Falls and bid farewell to Rovos. You will be met at the station and transferred to Matetsi Victoria Falls, approximately 40 minutes upstream from town along the Zambezi River. 

Matetsi Private Game Reserve

Game drives, boating, birdwatching and selected Falls experiences are among the activities available during a stay at Matetsi. Days can be tailored around your interests, however a sunset boat cruise along the Zambezi is a must during your stay!
