Villas, with between one and five bedrooms are designed in a chic and minimalist style, with dark granite, black and white furnishings, polished local woods, hand spun silks and contemporary Vietnamese artworks hanging in the high ceilinged living spaces. With high-tech amenities and outdoor terraces with day beds, the majority of villas are on, or just steps away from, the beach.

Inspired by traditional Vietnamese garden houses, each bedroom pavilion centres around a raised platform in the middle of the room which creates a ‘room within a room’ enclosing a king-size bed, writing desk, divan and long eggshell-lacquered bath. Villas also have a spacious bathroom that opens out onto a private tropical garden with an outdoor rain shower.

The Pool Villas also have a private courtyard entrance leading into a living and dining area. They also have a kitchen, a butler’s room and a private temperature-controlled swimming pool.

Mornings call for breakfast favourites on the outdoor deck of The Restaurant, while evening dining offers fusion fare in the sleek low - lit dining room.

Comfort foods and the freshest catch of the day provide daytime treats at The Beach Restaurant, which transforms after nightfall with an extensive menu of Vietnamese delicacies.

For a sundowner, an aperitif or a night cap The Bar makes a memorable impression, as much for its serene setting above the water gardens as for its creative cocktails and live entertainment.

Tennis, badminton, basketball are all available to guests, as is the fully-equipped Health Club, which offers complimentary meditation and yoga sessions at the open lounge in the still, cool morning. Catch up on holiday reading in the library or by one of the resort’s three-tiers of swimming pools by the sea, the lowest level an adult’s only and Olympic size for serious workouts.

Eight treatment pavilions appear to float atop the koi fish filled lagoon at The Spa. Ingenious use of windows and French doors keep each retreat entirely private, each of which has an open air relaxation deck where the deep bathtub faces a cushioned daybed.

Seven days a week, the Kids’ Activity Villa offers a haven of activities with sports and board games plus Vietnamese cultural entertainments.

Spring, February to May, is when the temperatures are most pleasant and there is little rain. The majority of the rain in Central Vietnam falls from September to February, while temperatures reach their maximum (often high 30°Cs) from June to August - a good time to head to the hills. It's also important to note that Central Vietnam is most prone to typhoons, usually between August and November.
