Free from daily distractions like the internet, phones and TVs, each cottage and villa lets you really switch off. The resort’s signature red/yellow flag system provides a novel way to communicate with staff. One-bedroom open-plan cottages are set in the hills or on the beach. Contemporary teak furnishings complement soft pastels tones.

Two-bedroom beach villas are both spacious and stylish and only a few steps from the sea, the soundtrack to an excellent night’s sleep.

Dine indoors or out at the resort’s hilltop Main Pavilion Restaurant and Bar overlooking the harbour. The gourmet à la carte menu changes daily and features local specialities like yellowfin tuna. Watch the sun go down over a casual Caribbean dinner beneath palm trees at the Beach Restaurant, followed by a rum punch at Goatie’s Bar.

As an island resort, most activities focus on the turquoise water. All ages and skill levels are welcome to use the complimentary equipment, such as glass-bottom kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and snorkels. Explore below the surface at the new Jean-Michel Cousteau Dive Centre for an underwater adventure.

Hiking and fitness trails make the most of the scenic hillside setting. Play a tennis match with other guests with complimentary rackets and balls.

The Balinese-inspired spa and wellness centre sits on the hillside among the trees. Relax into the Caribbean tempo with soothing massage therapies in open-air treatment rooms or in the privacy of your cottage or villa. Two outdoor yoga pavilions provide a restful place to practice yoga, either on your own or with an instructor.

E. T. Joshua Airport (St Vincent)

Approximately 20 minutes by boat from Union Island

The most popular months to visit are from December to May when the climate is less humid and trade winds provide welcome breezes. The southern islands are generally slightly drier and warmer than those of Mustique and Bequia in the north. Hurricane season is from July to November but these commonly pass over the north of St Vincent and tend to not have a significant impact.
