Because of Sabi Sabi’s location between the reserve and Kruger National Park, big game traverse this area without restriction. This means that guests can spot cheetah, wild dog and any of the incredible ‘Big Five’ (leopard, lion, elephant, buffalo and rhino). With no hunting for over half a century, animals in this area have grown more relaxed in the presence of safari vehicles, and the result is some truly once-in-a-lifetime sights as you have an audience with a majestic leopard doing its thing. This area is also heaven for birdwatchers thanks to over 300 bird species. A team of highly-trained and experienced rangers make safari experiences truly special as they impart their knowledge and allow you to get safely up and close to some of the world’s greatest creatures.
