All guest suites are individually decorated in sumptuous rustic style, feature a private balcony and are situated on the hill, the ridge and in the main building. Ridge suites are a short walk from the main lodge and feel very private. Hilltop suites offer incredible views and the option to add a smaller, interconnecting bedroom. Suites in the main Lodge offer guests the convenience of being close to the wonderful common facilities, while for larger families or small groups the Owner’s Cottage boasts four bedrooms, open fireplaces and an outdoor Jacuzzi.

Dining at Cape Kidnappers is about enjoying culinary creations using the freshest local produce – some of which is grown on site in the Cape Kidnappers’ vegetable garden. Cooked or continental style breakfasts are served in the main Lodge. Lunch can be taken in the Lodge dining area or in the golf clubhouse and can range from a light sandwich to a full three courses. Dinner starts with pre-dinner drinks in the Lodge – a great way to meet other guests – followed by a smart casual affair with the finest New Zealand wines either in the main dining area, or in one of the Lodge’s intimate, private dining hideaways.

Golf is the main order of the day at Cape Kidnappers. The iconic course sits high above the Pacific Ocean and is recognised as being among some of the best in the world. There are endless walking trails around the estate and guests can also use the farm’s mountain bikes. A tour of the property in the luxury of a 4x4 is a favourite, while more adventurous types do their exploring in the Can-Am – a vehicle capable of taking guests to the furthest reaches of the property. Or why not try horse trekking or clay target shooting, the options are endless.

Relax by the infinity pool, enjoy a glass of wine in the snug, or take a yoga or Pilates session in the fully equipped gym. The ultimate indulgence at Cape Kidnappers is to be found in the Spa. Choose from a range of treatments and therapies, from a Cape Kidnapper’s signature facial to a deep tissue golf massage.

Hilltop Family Suites are ideal for those travelling as a family. The Owner’s Cottage is the perfect home from home. There are a fantastic range of child friendly activities on the property and the Hawke’s Bay area has even more to offer – from water parks to petting zoos.

Although New Zealand is great to visit all year round, the beaches of the North Island are particularly inviting during the summer months (December to February). The weather cools slightly between March and May making this the ideal time to hike some of the North Island's fantastic trails, while winter and spring (June to November) are much quieter.
