Approximately three hours drive from Auckland International Airport. Alternatively, take a 45-minute flight to Rotorua, from which it is a 20-minute drive to the lodge.

Climate

Although New Zealand is great to visit all year round, the beaches of the North Island are particularly inviting during the summer months (December to February). The weather cools slightly between March and May making this the ideal time to hike some of the North Island's fantastic trails, while winter and spring (June to November) are much quieter.
