Blanket Bay’s Trek mountain bikes are ideal for exploring Rees Valley National Park and the kayaking on the lake is a wonderfully peaceful way to spend an afternoon. And if that sounds a little sedate, jet boat rides on the Dart River can start and finish at Blanket Bay’s private jetty.

Take time to chill out in the steam rooms and Jacuzzi and, in the summer months, take a swim in the outdoor heated pool. For those wishing to keep in shape during their break, there is the Blanket Bay gym, complete with state-of-the-art equipment.

There isn't a bad time to visit the South Island. The summer months (December to February) boast the best weather, while the cooler spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) seasons are the ideal time to enjoy lots of the activities on offer.
