Garden Café has a fresh, contemporary décor an a relaxed and inviting environment offering where diners enjoy international and local favourites including themed buffets for lunches and dinner. Meanwhile, the Sigi's Bar and Grill, well known for its seafood and wood fire pizza, is a fun, family-style restaurant with one of the best dining views in Penang. For more dining options guests can also dine at the sister property next door - Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort and Spa.


The resort offers an enticing array of activities for both adults and young guests. The Adventure Zone, a unique family entertainment centre for children and adults with lots of indoor slides. Guests can practice their swing at the 9-hole golf course, relax by the 2 lagoon-shaped swimming pools, work out at the fitness centre or play a game of tennis on one of the three tennis courts.


Although there is no spa at Golden Sands Resort, guests are welcome to use the facilities at Shangri-La’s Rasa Saying Resort & Spa, next door.


On the Mezzanine Level of the Adventure Zone, Cool Zone Kids Club for children aged 5 to 12 years old. Activities include arts and crafts, board games and video games. Lunch and dinner are provided for children and mobile phones are available on loan for parents who wish to be in contact with their children.
