All 21 one-bedroom terrace tents have large outdoor decks, indoor and outdoor bathrooms and sweeping views. The Lodge two-bedroom tent is suited to small families. Here in the rainforest of Bali, seasonal sustainably-farmed ingredients are the mainstay of dishes served up in the intimate setting of this Asian barbecue experience. Other dining options include Mads Lange – the camp’s split-level dining room named in honour of the Dutch Spice Trader, Mads Johansen Lange, where tasty seasonal and sustainable dishes are served up. For lighter daytime snacks or a handcrafted cocktail, take a pew at The Mortar & Pestle Bar. There is an exciting array of guided group activities available, such as boot camps, aerial yoga, mountain bike trails and jungle hikes. Alternatively, check into The Armoury and book a personal training session in the state-of-the-art gymnasium. Other classes include; Pilates, Yoga and Ballet Barre class. Or take part in one of the many experiences on offer, like the Cast Away Day Trip, where a helicopter ride to a deserted private island called “Casanova” awaits. May, June and September boast the best weather, relatively dry and less humid than some other months, and is the best time for many activities, including diving. Rainy seasons falls between January and April and during October and November, although showers fall in short sharp bursts. This is low season and there are plenty of good deals to be found, both on airfares and hotels.
