Overview

Malabar House at Fort Cochin is not just another Cochin hotel, it is integral to the multi-cultural history of Fort Cochin's and Kerala. Its history dates back to 1755 when Jan Herman Clausing, a Dutch man, bought the property from Mathew Henrich Beyls. Subsequently owned by spice traders, tea traders and bankers, in 1996 it became Fort Cochin's first boutique heritage hotel.
