Coconut Lagoon offers an authentic taste of Kerala, from the shimmering canals that criss-cross the resort to the flavour bursting Keralan home-style cooking. With some of the buildings being over 150 years old, the hotel has its own distinctive architecture. The collection of mansions that make up the hotel's public and guest room areas have all been saved from ruin by being transported to Coconut Lagoon, timber by timber, and have been lovingly restored. Low rise buildings with deep verandas are interspersed with small canals and waterways, creating a haven of peace and relaxation.
