Overview

With its majestic villas and suites and breathtaking views across the Gulf of Mirabello, Elounda Gulf Villas is something seriously special. A member of 'Small Luxury Hotels of the World' and winner of 'Greece's Leading Villa' award, stylish villas and suites are perched on a hillside in north east Crete, looking loftily on to the stretching bright blue of the water beyond. Italian fabrics and wonderful antiques ensure luxury is everywhere in the interiors and refreshing infinity pools entice guests outside. Innovative cuisine with a nod to tradition is on the menu at the resort’s main restaurant, the perfect end to a day spent exploring the local area or unwinding at the resort’s private beach club.

Climate

With a tourist season that spans from April to October, June to August is when the peak season crowds arrive, along with the peak summer temperatures. Sizzling sunshine is the norm and thermostats regularly exceed 30 degrees C. Resorts are buzzy with a real holiday vibe. Spring and Autumn sees milder temperatures and quieter beaches but with averages still over 20 degrees, it’s a pleasant heat to relax and explore in. From November to March many hotels, eateries and sights shut as temperatures drop.
