Attention to detail and a desire to retain the hotel’s traditions can be seen all around at Curtain Bluff. The colonial theme and the historic sugar mill have influenced designers’ choices of authentic and stylish artefacts that blend with the white and cream aesthetic in this newly renovated property.

Predominantly low rise, with shaded pathways and deep verandas, Curtain Bluff brings a touch of 21st century design to this colonial, West-Indian style resort set on a rocky peninsula on the south coast of Antigua.

Gentle sea breezes add to the laid-back atmosphere at The Seagrape at the far end of the Bay Beach - famous for its buffet lunches including the weekly beach barbeque accompanied by a live steel-drum band. At night, 4 or 5 times a week, The Seagrape serves delicious Italian/Antiguan cuisine in an intimate, torch-lit setting.

Named after the tree that helps shade the terrace of this plantation style, open-walled restaurant, The Tamarind is the main restaurant for every style of breakfast and for five-course dinners that always include locally caught fish and outstanding meats - all served in a delightful ambiance with candlelight, sparkling terrace lights and the sounds of a different band each evening.

Don’t miss out on meeting George, the resorts’ sommelier, and ask him for a tour of the cellar or sign up to his Friday afternoon wine tastings.

The resort’s comprehensive All Inclusive offering means there’s opportunity for all, from beginner to expert to try their hand at Hobie Cats, paddle-boats, kayaks, windsurfers, water skiing, scuba diving or snorkelling.

On shore there's the squash and tennis courts, the fully equipped fitness centre, the putting green, the Bocce and shuffleboard courts.

The Tennis Centre has four championship hard courts, all lit for night play, and a great Pro Tennis shop.

Just feet from the sea, the tranquil and intimate 460m2 spa sits apart from the rest of the resort - enjoying views over the sea to Montserrat, Cades Reef, St. Kitts, Nevis and Redonda.

Before treatments, guests unwind outside sipping herbal tea and afterwards, relax on the veranda, in the Jacuzzi on the cliff edge while snacking on steamed asparagus, fruit and vegetable kebabs.

From Deep Tissue and Shiatsu massage techniques to herbal aromatherapy wraps and facials, manicures, pedicures and waxing - there's a therapy for everyone in the four treatment rooms.

This quiet and self-contained resort, with almost all the activities included in the room rate, is ideal for families, so kids can try all the activities at no extra cost.

There's a shaded sandbox with a Jungle Gym for the little ones and a Games Room, with board games, computers (loaded with all the latest video games) and a wide-screen TV, designed specifically for younger guests.

Early dinners are served outside on the Tamarind Terrace and babysitters (arranged for an extra charge) can then look the children back in the room, freeing up parents for leisurely dinners and dancing to the nightly live bands.
