Snorkel through shipwrecks

One of the most famous shipwrecks in Rarotonga, the RMS Maitai sank just outside Avarua Harbour while carrying Model T Fords on Christmas Day in 1916. Resting just a few metres under water, this can be explored by both divers and snorkellers, although every person visiting the town can catch a glimpse of the wreck as the engine block still sticks out of the water.
