Experience the best of San Francisco before flying to Papeete for a three night pre cruise stay. Board your cruise where you will then travel to Moorea, Fakarava, Nuku Hiva, Rangiroa, Bora Bora, and Raiatea before finishing back in Papeete.
Day 1 – 2
Your journey will begin in San Francisco with a two night stay at the Fairmont San Francisco in a Fairmont room on a room only basis. This hotel is located at the top of Nob Hill and offers spectacular views of the city. San Francisco is full of character, culture, unique neighbourhoods and an abundance of things to do including museums, metropolitan ruins, unique shopping experiences, and invigorating hikes. A visit to San Francisco is not complete without a trip to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and the beautiful Golden Gate Park.
Day 3 – 6
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Papeete, the capital city of French Polynesia. Enjoy a three night stay at the Intercontinental Tahiti Resort & Spa in a Classic Room on a bed and breakfast basis. This hotel is situated amongst 25 hectares of lush tropical gardens and looks onto a pristine blue lagoon. Head to the Papeete market to find a unique souvenir, marvel at Faarumai Waterfalls, or walk along the stunning waterfront where you will find the beautiful Paofai Gardens which is a one mile stretch of paths along the waterfront and marina. On day 6 you will begin your cruising journey with Oceania.
Day 7
The first stop on this cruising adventure is Moorea, a volcanic island in French Polynesia. This island features a truly stunning landscape with verdant mountains, white sand beaches, and translucent lagoons. Spend your day taking a canoe ride through the lagoon, snorkeling through the reefs, or hiking up to the Afareaitu Waterfalls.
Day 8
The next stop is Fakarava, one of the largest atolls in French Polynesia and home to extremely rare birds, plants and crustaceans. This island is a true paradise with pristine white and pink sand beaches, ruffled coconut trees and crystal clear blue lagoons. Visit the quaint charming villages and old coral churches.
Day 9
The next day is a day at sea onboard Oceania’s luxurious Nautica. Spend you day lounging by the pool, pampering yourself with a revitalizing spa treatment, or working out at the fitness centre. At night savour a mouthwatering dinner at one of the restaurants and then enjoy a world-class musical performance.
Day 10
The next stop is Nuku Hiva, the largest of the Marquesas Islands in French Polynesia. This island features an unique culture and stunning scenery with white sandy beaches and lush jungle. Visit the spectacular Vaipo Waterfalls and Cascade Tevaipo, one of the world’s tallest waterfalls at over 1,100 feet. Stroll along the black sand beaches, marvel at the giant tiki at Piki Vehini or those feeling adventurous can experience an all-terrain vehicle excursion around the craggy island.
Day 11
The next day is a day at sea onboard Oceania’s luxurious Nautica. Spend you day lounging by the pool, pampering yourself with a revitalizing spa treatment, or working out at the fitness centre. Day 12
The next stop on this luxury cruising adventure is Rangiroa, an atoll in French Polynesia and one of the biggest atolls in the world. This beautiful island is a “natural aquarium” with a lagoon filled with vibrant undersea life. Spend the day visiting the pearl farms, diving with manta rays, exploring the island’s unique winery, or simply relaxing on a pristine pink sand beach.
Day 13 – 14
The next destination is Bora Bora, an island in French Polynesia famous for its vibrant turquoise lagoon and soft white sand beaches and features the spectacular mount Otemanu as its backdrop. Spend your days swimming with the manta rays or enjoying an outrigger canoe ride through the lagoon and its beautiful coral islands.
Day 15
Next your cruise will dock at Raiatea, the second largest of the Society Islands in French Polynesia. This island is well known for its numerous vanilla plantations scattered across the island with the rich scent of vanilla filling the island air. Spend your day visiting one of the vanilla plantations, exploring a pearl farm, snorkeling in the clear waters of the surrounding reef, or journey along the Faaroa River on a kayak.
Day 16 – 17
