Guests can choose beachfront bungalows and villas or an overwater bungalow with direct access to this wonder of the natural world. Bungalows and villas are air conditioned and feature private verandas and open air showers.

For the definitive resort experience choose the Royal Honeymoon Pool Villa with its private pool, hydrotherapy spa and opulent shaded day bed.

There are two restaurants at the resort, each offering a very distinct atmosphere and ambience. The Bounty Brasserie sits close to the resort’s pool and is open for bountiful buffet breakfasts and delicious, Polynesian inspired dinners. The Flying Boat Bar & Grill, named after the Coral Route that brought film stars and other luminaries to this paradise island, is perfect for casual dining and cocktails on the deck.

There are two beautiful pools where guests can escape the heat of the sun or enjoy a relaxing swim. There is also a scheduled daily activity program that includes sporting endeavours like snorkelling and paddle boarding as well as cultural treats like learning to dance the island ‘Ura (Hula) or weave a sunhat from coconut fronds. Guests can choose as many or as few as they wish or use the complimentary equipment and take things at their own pace.

For some pampering and self-indulgence, there’s the SpaPolynesia Aitutaki. As well as a comprehensive selection of therapies and treatments including massages and reflexology, the spa is home to a Jacuzzi and an intimate couples’ sauna.
