Holidays to The Northern Islands with If Only

Fiji’s tropical northern region includes its second and third largest islands - Vanua Levu and Taveuni, as well as a number of smaller islands. Vanua Levu is truly a hidden paradise. Discover the beauty of marine protected sanctuaries and reefs, 100 year old coconut plantations, a mysterious floating island and world class resorts surrounded by tranquil lagoons. Taveuni is known as the Garden Island and is an eco-tourist’s dream, home to world-renowned dive sites and protected tropical rainforest. Slide down a natural waterslide formed by an ancient lava flow, take a longboat to a beautiful waterfall or visit the International Date Line and take a picture with one foot in today and the other in tomorrow.

Surprising Savusavu

Surprising Savusavu

Squeezed between forested hills and the shimmering ocean, Savusavu, a small, one-street town, is Vanua Levu’s main tourist centre. Take in the views from the top of the Savusavu Hills, enjoy fantastic snorkelling at nearby Lesiaceva Point or simply sip on something cold while watching the sunset over this beautiful bay.

Explore the beautiful surroundings

Established in 1990, Bouma National Heritage Park preserves 40,000 acres of ancient rainforest interlaced with waterfalls and rare flora and fauna. Enjoy a rainforest hike to ancient ruins from the village of Vidawa, follow the spectacular Tavoro Waterfall trail through three sets of falls, or alternatively walk along the beautiful coastal path from Lavena.
