Sitting at the foot of the world’s tallest building and facing the world's tallest performing fountains, the Dubai Mall achieved a record-breaking year in 2011 to become the world's most visited shopping and leisure destination according to Travel Daily Middle East today.
Attracting more than 57 million visitors – the Dubai Mall has overtaken other iconic landmarks and attractions throughout the world, such as Times Square with approximately 39.2 million visitors, Central Park with 38 million visitors, Niagara Falls which had approximately 22.5 million visitors and Las Vegas which attracted 39.2 million people in 2011.
Announcing these figures, Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Emaar Properties which owns Dubai Mall said “The visitor numbers to the Dubai Mall are a strong testament to the growing appeal of Dubai as a preferred tourism destination, and a compelling indicator of the robust performance of the city's retail sector”.
With several stunning hotels such as the Address and the Armani right on Dubai Mall’s doorstep, and several beach resorts offering shuttle transfers to the Mall, If Only... offers ever type of Dubai holiday, such as those featured in Affordable Dubai, that can include a quick visit or a 'shop till you drop' experience at this amazing venue.
