Bali

The island of Bali is the best known of the Indonesian islands and is the perfect solution for those seeking a truly relaxing holiday. It is blessed with shimmering, palm-fringed sandy beaches where there are located luxurious hotels offering exceptional service and mouth-watering cuisine. By contrast, in its interior, the island also offers the terraced rice fields, enchanting Hindu temples and palaces, winding rivers, tropical rainforests and soaring volcanic mountain ranges. Balinese resorts tend to comprise of individual villas, allowing guests to pamper themselves within the walled gardens, enjoy a dip in the private pool, or savour a romantic in-villa dining experience under the stars. Add to this a very warm and genuine welcome from the ever-smiling Balinese people and one can appreciate why this destination is an ever popular choice for those in search of laidback luxury.

The beaches at Nusa Dua (Southern peninsula) is perfect for swimming and water sports. Away from the beach there is an 18-hole golf course and the Galleria centre with a variety of restaurants and shops.

Jimbaran Beach (West coast) is arguably Bali's most attractive beach and is still relatively undiscovered. The area offers various good seafood restaurants right on the water front and is highly recommended for watching Bali's famous sunsets.

The bustling resorts of Kuta Beach & Legian(West coast, South Bali) have merged together in recent years and are the centre of Bali's night life with a great number of restaurants, bars, discos, and shopping areas.

Seminyak (West coast, South Bali) is fast becoming the area for trendy bars, restaurants and shops and is ideal for those who wish to be away from the main tourist areas, but still have easy access to the main facilities.

Sanur Beach (East coast, South Bali) is a long established resort offering a quiet retreat from the daily hustle and bustle.

Inland, Ubud (Central Bali) is the cultural capital of Bali with a high concentration of craft shops, art galleries and museums. The town is quiet after sunset, with the nearby resort of Sayan affording spectacular views over the Ayung River valley.
