There is so much to do and see and the list of recreational facilities available at the hotels is extensive. But beyond the resorts there are endless opportunities to experience the diversity of the Arabian Peninsula. From 4-wheel drives in the dunes of the desert, excursions into the Hajar mountains, diving and snorkelling in the Gulf of Oman and moonlit cruises along the Dubai Creek, to snow-skiing and tobogganing in Dubailand. The world’s third largest indoor ski slope uses 6000 tons of snow and the piste will excite and challenge all levels of skiers. There are five different runs from the beginner’s slope to more advanced runs. The Dubai Sunny Mountain Ski Dome features a revolving ski slope, an artificial mountain range, an ice bridge, a cable lift and an ice slide. For diving enthusiasts, the Arabian Gulf is home to a variety of marine life and many good dive sites are easily accessible from Abu Dhabi and Muscat, including wreck or deepwater dives and reef dives.
